Arriving by Car

The NEC is situated 8 miles East of Birmingham city centre. Located at the hub of the UK motorway network, visitors from any direction can travel to The NEC site directly using the following motorways - M1, M5, M6, M6 Toll, M40 and M42.

M6 Toll

As a free flowing alternative to the M6, the M6 Toll offers reliably shorter journey times through the West Midlands. It runs between Junctions 3A and 11A of the M6, and there is easy access to the NEC/LG ARENA via the M6toll / M42. For further information visit the website: M6 Toll Website

Using Sat Nav

If you are using a satellite navigation system please enter the postcode B40 1NT. The Sat Nav system will not direct you into an onsite car park so please follow the clearly signposted directions.

Car Parking

The NEC has numerous car parks, with over 20,000 onsite parking spaces available.

On your arrival at The NEC, traffic officers will direct you to the most convenient parking area for your event with the closest being the West, East and North N1. 

The NEC has designated car park spaces for visitors with disabilities situated right next to Hall 5.

Arrive by Train

The NEC is situated adjacent to Birmingham International Rail Station. The entrance is situated on the right hand side as you exit the station and is clearly signposted. Continue to walk along the covered walkway called the bridgelink where you can then follow signs to reach your exact destination.

Depending on your origin station you can travel directly by train to The NEC by alighting at Birmingham International. Otherwise, you can travel to Birmingham New Street Station and get the 10-15 minute connecting train from there.

Arriving by Plane

Birmingham International Airport (BHX) positioned next to the NEC, takes just minutes to get to from.  

The quickest way to get to the NEC from the airport is to take the free Air-Rail Link to Birmingham International Station. Just follow the signs to the Air-Rail Link which leaves the airport from the first floor of Terminal 1 every two minutes. Once at the International Station continue straight ahead through the concourse onto The NEC bridgelink.

Other Airports: East Midlands Airport (EMA) is situated 40 miles for The NEC.

ComCab Taxis

The NEC has appointed ComCab as their designated taxi providers. There are 2 taxi ranks located at the NEC main entrance.

Arrive by Bus

The NEC can be reached by a number of local bus services run by Network West Midlands and Travel WM.

The quickest route is the 900 service, which leaves from Moor Street Interchange every 20 minutes. The 900 will drop you at Birmingham International Station in 30 minutes.

The 38 service (also leaving from Moor Street Interchange) departs hourly and takes approximately one hour.
