Fusing Policy and Opportunity for a Sustainable Solar Future

 

After its successful event in London 2010, the UK's number-one gathering of the solar industry moved to Birmingham with Solar Power UK 2011. 150 exhibitors showcased their products and services for the fastest-growing PV and solar thermal market in Europe.

Exploring government policy, the industry supply chain, and key themes to support a sustainable solar future in the UK this dedicated event targeting all sectors of the industry. The event comprised of a full three-day exhibition, four specialised conferences, training sessions and educational seminars targeting all sectors of the industry.

The BRE Trust hosted a dedicated conference examining BIPV and the Solar Trade Association co-located their annual conference to run alongside the event. Local government and public sector stakeholders also took part in a series of meetings that looked at the ways in which PV and solar thermal technologies can be used in the transition to the low-carbon economy.
